Gifted Education Programme
:: HISTORY OF THE GEP IN ACS(PRIMARY) ::
1984
The Gifted Education Programme (GEP) was first implemented by the MOE in S’pore. MOE aspired to recognise, nurture and develop the potential of each pupil. MOE recognised that there are pupils who are intellectually gifted and that there should be provisions to meet their needs.
1985
The GEP centre was established in Anglo-Chinese School (Primary). It was then the third GEP primary centre.
1994
ACS (Primary) relocated from Coleman Street to Barker Road.
1999
ACS (Pri) relocated to the holding school in Ah Hood Road as the premises in Barker Road underwent a reconstruction programme.
Nov 2002
ACS (Pri) returns to the Barker Road campus to a new school compound and facilities.
