5th Lim Boon Heng Cup Scrabble Open Championship 2007 – Primary School Category

A total of 88 primary school students were present for the competition held at Jurong Green CC on 17th March 07. All students played 3 games where the ranking is decided by the number of game wins followed by cumulative differential score.

High Game Score: Victor Gwee De Ming: 636 points

Victor trounced his opponents with scores of 511, 636 and 548 to defend his ’06 Championship title and won a trophy plus a $50 Popular Co. voucher. Thaddeus also won a trophy for coming in as a commendable 8th position.

It was a good experience for the boys who enjoyed competing even though some of them did not do as well. Nevertheless this exposure may spur them to improve themselves and get ready for the subsequent competitions. Well done, boys!
