1. When will the enhanced security measures in Barker Road Campus take effect?

The enhanced security measures will take effect from 17 October 2005.


2. What are some of the features included in the enhanced security measures?

An integral part of the enhanced security measures is the requirement for all to display their security passes when they are in Barker Road Campus during weekdays from 0630h to 1630h. Students currently studying in ACS (BR), ACS (P) and BRMC Kindergarten are given exceptions.

Other key features include the installation of surveillance cameras within the campus and the setting up of Guard Posts and security check points to monitor strategic entry points to the campus.


3. I am a parent of a student currently studying in one of the schools in the campus. How am I able to obtain a security pass to visit the school should the need arises?

Under the current security management policy, parents whose children are currently studying in either ACS (P) or BRMC Kindergarten may apply for a personalised Parents’ Security Pass (PSP). This pass allows the parent or caregiver to visit the respective school’s General Office without the need to sign for a Visitors’ Pass. In general, access to the classrooms and the staff rooms is restricted and parents should seek assistance from the General Office if they would like to contact his / her child or a member of the school’s staff.

Kindly contact the respective school for more information regarding the issue of the PSP.


4. How many Parents’ Security Passes (PSP) can I apply?

Each household may apply for only one PSP at any one time.

5. How do I gain access into the Campus if I do not have a Parents’ Security Passes (PSP)?

You may sign for a Visitors’ Pass at either the Security Counter located at Lift Lobby, Level 1 Transport Centre or at the Guard Post located at the Ceremonial Driveway. Please note that you will need to produce photo-identification for verification purposes.


6. Do I need to display the Parents’ Security Passes (PSP) when I drop-off my child at the Transport Centre?

The Barker Road Campus car label allows you to enter the Transport Centre. You do not need to display the PSP when you drop-off your child at the Transport Centre.

If you wish to escort your child into the Campus, you will be required to display the PSP.


7. Will the enhance security measures be enforced during the school holidays?

Yes, it will continue to be enforced during the school holidays.


8. What must I do if I have misplaced my security pass?

Please report the loss immediately to the organisation that had issued to you the security pass. The organisation will inform you of the processing procedure to replace your security pass and the replacement fee.

If you have misplaced a Visitors’ Pass, please report the loss immediately to the Security Officers at either the Security Counter Security Counter located at Lift Lobby, Level 1 Transport Centre or any of the Guard Post. A replacement fee of $50 will be charged for each pass.
